Abstract

This study aims to design a Futsal Center in Gorontalo City using an innovative and contextual Contemporary Architecture approach to support sports infrastructure development and strengthen community-based social development. Futsal is chosen as the main focus due to its significant role in enhancing social cohesion, providing an inclusive space for community interaction, and empowering youth. The method applied is a qualitative-descriptive approach involving spatial needs analysis, site study, and integration of contemporary design principles emphasizing functionality, aesthetics, and technology. The resulting design is expected to provide international-standard sports facilities while serving as a city icon that supports socio-economic activities and sustainable development in Gorontalo.
