Bank liquidation is one of the most extreme legal actions that can be taken in handling problem banks and carries very serious legal consequences for customers, particularly regarding the security of deposit funds. This study aims to analyze the legal protection of customers due to bank liquidation in the perspective of Law Number 6 of 2023 on Job Creation (Cipta Kerja), which integrates provisions on the financial sector including banking within an omnibus law framework. The normative legal research method is used with statute, conceptual, and analytical approaches. The results show that the Job Creation Law and its implementing regulations have provided a more structured legal framework for customer protection in the bank liquidation process, particularly through the deposit guarantee mechanism by the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) and claim payment priority provisions. However, there are still several weaknesses in its implementation, particularly regarding the scope of guaranteed deposit values, complex claim payment mechanisms, and protection for debtor customers. This study recommends improvements to customer protection regulations in the context of a more comprehensive and effective bank liquidation.
