A This research aims to understand the legal implications of violations in the cosmetics business legality. The cosmetics industry is a rapidly growing sector as public demand for personal care products increases. However, behind this growth, violations of business legality in cosmetics have become a serious issue affecting business actors, consumers, and market stability. These violations include the circulation of products without distribution permits, the use of harmful substances, and non-compliance with safety standards. This study seeks to analyze the legal implications arising from violations of legality in the cosmetics business and to formulate solutions to address these issues and encourage compliance with existing regulations. The research method used is normative legal methodology with an approach based on statutory regulations, case studies, and descriptive analysis of the regulations. The data analyzed includes regulations such as Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, BPOM regulations, and documents related to cases of cosmetic legality violations. The research results show that violations of business legality in cosmetics have a direct impact on entrepreneurs through administrative, civil, and criminal sanctions, while consumers face health risks from illegal products. Additionally, these violations affect market stability by creating unhealthy competition and diminishing consumer trust in the cosmetics industry. Proposed solutions include educating business operators and consumers, strengthening the oversight system, enforcing law firmly, and providing support programs for entrepreneurs to comply with regulations.
